Jack O’ Lantern says adieu

Lack O’ Lantern  is a spirit. It came to protect peace and wellbeing from destructive thoughts, emotions and dark parts of human beings. He  works only a short period of time every year, living in pumpkin and other vegetables traditionally prepared for Halloween celebrations.
His job is well done. And it is time for a new era of gratitude with Thanksgivings and  meeting Christmas.
Enjoy the movie and thank Jack o ’Lantern for stopping by.Smile

Halloween organic flowers arrangements

According to my last post Halloween flowers arrangements used sunflowers and cat-tails It is not necessary to follow any restrictions. You can use whatever flowers you want or have for your Halloween arrangements. The fall choice is not a cornucopia, but it will look great any way, even fall leaves and branches. What ever match you project. Here are some pictures of Halloween designs I made with my garden resources! Nothing special, but nice. I like my jack O’ Lantern.
Tip:  Carve your pumpkin with woodworking carving tools. Don’t make an open cuts. It is you flower container, but some face expression would look fine with  a top carving! Rub some vegetable oil onto the fresh cuts if your carved pumpkin. It will prevent it from molding for a while. But be prepared you beautiful arrangement will mold in a few days.

Halloween Flowers Arrangement

Halloween – the festive children's holiday when witches, goblins and ghosts are about provides an ideal occasion for a fall party. To set the theme, here is a fresh pumpkin made into a Jack O’ Lantern flower container.
Accessories: gourds, candy corn, cider, pumpkin seeds if you like
The simple steps to follow :
1. Insert floral foam in the carved pumpkin and set the three cat-tails in place. If you had a pumpkin carving contest, use the pumpkins body and leave the seeds inside to create one-day vases for sunflowers, marigolds and daisies. Keeping the seeds inside the pumpkin will hold the flower stems in place. Or you can bake   and use the floral foam to hold the flowers.
Tip:  Use a chicken wire, that will help hold your stems in place in your  container. It can be purchased from large hardware or farm supply stores and will be galvanized. If you have the opportunity to buy it from a florist wholesaler, you'll be able to get green plastic-coated wire. This is more expensive but is easier on your hands. Chicken wire can be used either around a container, inside a container, or around floral foam.
2. Fill in with five more sunflowers. Work these flowers into the center and bottom of the arrangement keeping the design in proper balance and perspective.
3. Add five more sunflowers or other fall flowers. Also place green leaves in amongst the flowers to fill in empty spaces in the arrangement. Remember about balance and keep the harmony of your creation.
4. Finally add three more teasels and one last sunflower. Around the pumpkin top, place oak leaves to cover stems, floral foam and the arrangement base. I use green peony leaves for green impression on bottom spot.
